📋 1. Shipping Policy Overview

This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines our order processing procedures, delivery schedules, transportation methods, and customer responsibilities. Due to the size and weight of shipping containers, all deliveries are completed using specialized heavy-duty transportation equipment. By placing an order with Bluegrass Shipping Containers, you acknowledge and agree to the conditions outlined in this policy.

⚙️ 2. Order Processing

Order Cut-Off Time

Orders received before 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), Monday through Friday, will begin processing the same business day. Orders placed after 5:00 PM EST, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Handling Time

Our standard order processing time is 1–3 Business Days (Monday through Friday). During this period we:

Confirm inventory availability
Prepare your container
Schedule transportation & coordinate delivery logistics

🚚 3. Shipping & Delivery Time

United States

For in-stock containers:

Transit Time: 3–5 Business Days
Total Estimated Delivery: 4–8 Business Days after payment confirmation

Delivery times may vary depending on location, weather conditions, transportation availability, state regulations, and remote destinations.

Custom Container Projects: Modified or custom-built containers require additional production time. Estimated preparation period: 4–6 Weeks before shipment.

⏱️ 5. International Transit Times

U.S. Virgin Islands: 7–14 Business Days
Caribbean Islands: 10–21 Business Days

Transit times vary depending on destination country, port schedules, customs clearance, ocean carrier schedules, and weather conditions.

🚛 6. Delivery Methods

All shipping containers are transported using specialized heavy-haul equipment including Tilt-bed trucks, Flatbed trailers, Roll-off equipment, Hiab crane trucks, and Heavy-duty container transport vehicles.

🏗️ 7. Site Preparation Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is suitable before delivery. Your location must provide:

Firm, level ground & safe unloading area
Adequate truck access & turning space
No overhead power lines, low tree branches, or building obstructions

For installations on soft ground or grass, customers should prepare concrete pads, railroad ties, pressure-treated timber blocks, or a gravel foundation.

🔍 8. Delivery Inspection

An authorized representative must be present at delivery to inspect for visible damage, verify the correct container was delivered, confirm locks and doors operate properly, and sign the Delivery Acceptance Form.

❌ 9. Failed Deliveries

Deliveries may be considered unsuccessful if the site is inaccessible, ground conditions are unsafe, no authorized representative is present, or access gates are locked. Additional transportation and redelivery fees will apply in such cases.

💵 10. Shipping Costs

United States: FREE Standard Shipping on qualifying container purchases delivered within the continental United States.

International & Islands: Shipping charges outside the continental U.S. are quoted individually based on destination, port, container size, quantity, and ocean freight rates.

🛃 11. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

For shipments outside the U.S., customers are responsible for applicable import duties, customs clearance fees, port handling charges, and local taxes.

💳 12. Payment Requirements

All prices are in USD. Orders are scheduled for shipment only after full payment has been received and cleared. Custom-built or modified containers enter production only after payment confirmation.
